An e-mail message making the rounds landed in our inbox just a bit ago.

This one concerns a male Lab-mix puppy found out in East Texas near Canton and Athens. A local was out on some family land when this little guy walked up in search of a friendly human.

The rescuer said the puppy was cold and hungry, but after a bath, food and water, and a good, warm night’s sleep he cleaned up quite well.

He’s described as well mannered, affectionate, and at least semi-house trained. He slept through the night without whimpering or crying.

He’s mostly tan to light brown with some white patches on his chest, down the middle of his face, and around his muzzle.

E-mail the rescuer with interest in meeting this little guy and bringing him to a permanent home for the holidays.
